Driving rage attack filmed by tire cries ends in arrest
A 27-year-old man was arrested this week due to a road rage incident that was caught on video in North Hollywood.
David Zulalyan, of Van Nuys, was taken into custody Monday evening, suspected of assault with a lethal weapon after a video showed him driving a white sedan driving down a pickup truck on Victory and Laurel Canyon boulevards, said LAPD officer Lizeth Lomeli.
A video taken by another motorist waiting at a red light shows the white sedan with its driver side door open and its tires squeaking and smoking as it pushes a truck at the intersection. Part of the sedan's front bumper hangs from the frame while cars screaming from the rear tires create a cloud of smoke during the encounter.
Zulalyan continued to chase the truck across the street, eventually hitting the side of the vehicle, the video shows.
An arrest for assault with a lethal weapon was made in the incident, which occurred Monday evening in the Victory Blvd & Laurel Canyon neighborhood.

Authorities said they received several calls to 911 from the intersection.
Zulalyan remained at the scene and was arrested at 7:00 p.m. He was released from prison on Tuesday after posting a $ 30,000 bond, according to prison records.
There has been no denial, LAPD Det. Dan Fournier told NBC. He claimed that there had already been a collision with traffic and that our victim was fleeing.
However, Fournier stated that there was no evidence that an accident had occurred before the meeting.
Court records indicate that this is not the first bad behavior of the Zulalyans behind the wheel. In 2018, a man with the same name and the same date of birth did not plead any challenge for violation of the vehicle code for speed exhibition and was sentenced to two days probation in prison and work strengths.
