Women's basketball in Columbia, Cornell: W 7752, W 6950

No. 17 women's basketball ended their Ivy League game with an undefeated conference record. The Tigers faced Columbia on Friday, defeating 7752. Junior Carlie Littlefield contributed 23 points during the game, his last bucket of the first half giving him 1,000 career points. She is the 26th Princeton player to reach this milestone. Senior captain Bella Alarie made a free throw in the fourth quarter, with approximately 8:30 a.m. playing, earning 1,684 points, the highest in Princeton women's basketball history. The first half ended with the Tigers up 3122. The Tigers held their lead throughout the third quarter and had a lead of 5539 before the fourth quarter. Princeton men's basketball defeated Columbia University on Friday. Throughout the game, Princeton scored a season-high 15 to three points and five players scored double-digit. Sophomore Jaelin Llewellyn scored 12 points, Sophomore Drew Friberg scored 11 points, and senior Richmond Aririguzoh, senior Jose Morales and first year Ryan Langborg finished with 10 points. The Tigers finished strong with a final score of 8158. The Tigers then lost 8582 to Cornell University on Saturday after a ceremony to honor senior Princetons players Richmond Aririguzoh, Jose Morales and Will Gladson. Princeton kept ahead before half time, but Cornell stayed close. In the second half, Cornell took the lead and secured his victory. Nonetheless, Princeton sophomore Jaelin Llewellyn scored a career high of 30 points. The Tigers will play in the Ivy League tournament this weekend in Cambridge, Mass.

Men's volleyball against NJIT: L 03

Princeton's No. 11 men's volleyball team fell to the New Jersey Institute of Technology in three quick sets on Friday. The Tigers started the first strong set, taking a 76 lead against the NJIT Highlanders. A freshman Alexander Mrkalj kill tied the score at 15 in total to start the point-to-point battle between the two teams. Princeton had the set point twice in the first set but lost 3028 to the Highlanders. The second set started with NJIT gaining a quick 62 advantage over Princeton before the Tigers returned to narrow their lead to just two points. NJIT quickly took a 9-point lead with a set point at 2415 before winning 2518. The third set started the same way, but a kill by senior George Huhmann and a block by senior Greg Luck Put Princeton in the lead for the first since the first set. With a score of 10, NJIT ran a four-point race, extending their lead over the Tigers and giving them an advantage from which Princeton never recovered. NJIT came out ahead of 2522.

Dartmouth Men's Hockey: W 43, W 54

Princeton No. 11 men's hockey beat number 6 at Dartmouth 54. The Tigers had a 41 lead in the third period, but the Big Green fought to tie the game and overtime. Princeton junior Mark Paolini scored the winning goal with 9:05 in overtime. Sophomore Jeremie Forget has made 46 saves, a career high. This series win is the third sweep of the CEAC playoffs in Princeton history.

Men's Lacrosse vs. Rutgers: W 1611

Men's lacrosse defeated local rival Rutgers University 1611 on Saturday in Princeton. First-year Tyler Sandoval got what Princeton Athletics described as his breakout game, winning 17 face-offs and picking up 10 balls from the ground. The face-off specialist also had his first college goal during the game. Other notable winners this weekend are senior captain Michael Sowers 300th career goal (he scored three during the game) and sophomore Jake Stevens two goals in 18 seconds into the final minutes of the third quarter. The team surpassed the Scarlet Knights 3237 but returned the unusual 20 times, five more than the national average per game last season. After last weekend's victory, Princeton leads the Rutgers 63313. The Tigers are now awaiting their first game in the Ivy League this season on Saturday when they welcome Penn.

Male player of the week: Michael Sowers, men's lacrosse

Michael Sowers led Princeton with three goals and two assists in his game against Rutgers, becoming the 16th player in Division I history to rack up more than 300 career points. He is currently 302 points from 121 goals and 181 assists.

Player of the week: Stephanie Neatby, women's ice hockey

Princeton defeated Cornell 32 this weekend to clinch its first ECAC champion title in the history of the program. The Big Red's two goals came in the first three minutes, but after that Stephanie Neatby made 31 saves to secure the victory.
