Virgil Ablohs Last Louis Vuitton Mens Collection Gets SoHo Residency

Virgil Abloh’s latest men’s Louis Vuitton collection, which arrived days after his death, will gain temporary residence in New York later this month.

The luxury fashion brand has just revealed its plans for the temporary residence, which will be held at 104 Prince Street in SoHo. Dedicated to the fashion innovator, who has frequently collaborated with Kanye West, among others, the entire venue has been revamped to proudly display some of Abloh’s work and his most common designs. The residence will be accompanied by a 10-story mural by Abloh near the LV store on 5th Avenue de la Maison.

His latest collection for the company, men’s spring/summer 2022, will also be on display. The collection promises “Millionaires sunglasses, soft trunks and collectible LV sneakers will be available, alongside the designer’s distinctive interpretations of classic Louis Vuitton leather goods like Keepalls and Sac Plats.”

Abloh passed away after a years-long battle with cancer in November 2021. Beloved in the worlds of fashion, design and music, there was an outpouring of love and heartbreak when he was announced that he had died. Frank Ocean, Kanye West and Drake were just a few of the names to pay tribute to Abloh.

Louis Vuitton recently shared an image lookbook for the pre-fall menswear collection last month. It was completed and photographed before his death and includes avant-garde pieces and more traditional dishes.
