Dress for Success Cleveland continues its mission to serve women while needing community help

CLEVELAND Dress for Success Cleveland was there when Patrice Culpepper-Wilson needed a job about 15 years ago.

They dressed me for the interview, then after they got the job, they came back and gave me a week of clothes, she said.

The non-profit organization was there to help her gain confidence by being strong, you know an independent and independent woman.

Culpepper-Wilson recently said that the non-profit was there when she was diagnosed with COVID-19.

Now she says it has been difficult trying to reconnect with women in need.

The majority of our activity was based on gatherings of people, so COVID hit us hard. It hit us hard financially because it interrupted our daily service. This halted all of our fundraising efforts, said Butler.

Butler says the organization has canceled planned fundraisers due to the pandemic and has reduced its staff to just two. She says the government’s PPP grant is the result of her team, but they need more help.
