It's no secret that these days, the lifespan of a trend can be decidedly short. With a never-ending stream of information, emerging ideas, and countless opinions flowing through our phones, it never takes long before a trend that once reigned supreme is toppled in favor of something fresher. After seeing so many promising trends emerge after just a few weeks, when you spot one that transcends the vicious cycle, you know you're on the right track.

After first noticing the leopard print trend starting to make a comeback a few months ago, ushered in by the once-clandestine “woman of the crowd” aesthetic, one would have been forgiven for thinking the pattern would disappear once the summer is over. However, leopard print only became more relevant as 2024 continued.

Gaining new legs throughout the spring and summer season, the leopard print trend has spread from fluffy coats to silky skirts, and lately, with temperatures starting to soar, I've started to see Fashion people wear it in another form: the leopard printed mini dress.

Combining a trendy print with a summer-ready cropped hem, the leopard print mini dress has become a fashionista's wardrobe staple this month. A spicier alternative to the plain cotton and linen dresses that are always in circulation this time of year, the leopard print mini dress trend offers the opportunity to style a strong print that feels both familiar and fresh.

Although this clothing trend has been in circulation for decades, recent months have seen a revival in line with the trend's initial reign in the '90s and 2000s. Frequently spotted on models like Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell from the early days of their career, the leopard print mini dress still retains a glamorous side today that will always attract me to this style.
