A month before the sporting world heads to Paris for the Olympics, the fashion panoply arrived in the French capital for couture week. Luxury brands like Chanel, Dior, Viktor & Rolf and Elie Saab presented their F/W 24 couture collections all week long, to the delight of fashion fans around the world. Naturally, the shows attracted well-dressed celebrities of all stripes. The Dior show, for example, attracted Jennifer Lopez and Venus Williams, while Chanel's front row was filled with stars such as Keira Knightley, Kerry Washington, Camila Morrone, Sadie Sink and others.

As I scrolled through the street style photos, one specific outfit combination stood out to me: Many of the Chanel attendees wore white dresses with black heels. Personally, I’m all about matching accessories to my outfits, but choosing shoes in a contrasting color is definitely a chic option, too.
