TEAM JAPAN SWEEPS BOULDER PODIUM WITH AMAGASA, NARASAKI AND ANRAKU

The all-Japanese podium is completed by Narasaki Meichi who won his second consecutive silver medal in Innsbruck, also finishing the round with three summits and three zones, but also a higher number of summit attempts than Amagasa.

The fourth participant of the Japanese team in the final, Kayotani Ritsu, placed sixth with no tops and three zones.

The British Toby Roberts, future Paris 2024 Olympian, and the German Elias Arriagada Krger, participating for the first time in the final, finished in fourth and fifth positions. Roberts with two peaks and two zones, Arriagada Krger with one peak and three zones.

This is the third time the Japanese national team has won the men's podium in Boulder: the first time it happened in 2021, also in Innsbruck, with Ogata Yoshiyuki, Narasaki Tomoa and Fujii Kokoro winning gold respectively, silver and bronze. The following season, in Seoul, South Korea, Fujii won gold, Narasaki took silver, and Ogata took bronze.

The IFSC Innsbruck 2024 World Cup continues tomorrow with the Lead qualifiers, starting at 9:00 a.m. (UTC+2:00), while the Lead semi-finals begin at 7:00 p.m.
