ADAM Nolan heartbreakingly missed out on his first senior national outdoor title today at the 123.ie National Senior Athletics Championships at a rain-soaked Morton Stadium.

In his first senior outdoor final, the St Laurence O'Toole AC athlete ran well ahead of his rivals and charged to victory in the 110m hurdles final, but he hit the final hurdle, costing him all his momentum. Elsewhere, Tinryland's Adam Murphy won his heat over 200m to qualify for the final but failed to make the cut, while Maisy O'Sullivan (St Abbans AC) finished in the top five in his heat over 1,500m to secure his place in tomorrow's race. final.
