British athleisure brands make Sunday Times 100 list

Manchester-based athleisure brand Adanola has been ranked the seventh fastest-growing private company in the UK, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 202% per year over three years.

Hampshire-based outerwear brand Passenger, which was last year named the country's ninth fastest-growing company, fell to 14th in the latest ranking, followed by bridal retailer Six Stories in 15th place.

With a CAGR of 171%, Passenger is the second fastest growing fashion retail company in the UK, behind Adanola. Athleisure’s reign continued with Castore in 34th place, Poole-based ThruDark in 61st and Drapers 30 Under 30 2022 alumnus Aybl Group taking the crown as the UK’s Fastest Growing Business in 2022, rounding out the rankings in 100th place.

Of the top five ranked clothing retailers, four are based in Manchester: Adanola, Six Stories, Castore and womenswear brand Club L London, ranked 54th. Sunday hours list.

Bolton-based Represent and Mauvais, in Cambridgeshire, were the only two menswear companies to feature in this year's rankings, at 68th and 82nd respectively, followed by womenswear brands Jaded London and Disturbia at 83rd and 84th.
