When self-appointed guardians of morality put up a poster in Pune asking women to dress in a way that would not attract attention, a group of exasperated women had prepared a fierce response. Journalist Yogesh Sadhwani shared a picture of the poster and the reaction it elicited on social media platform X, where his message is increasingly going viral.

The photo shows two posters pasted on a wall. The first poster features a photo of an elderly woman wearing a sari, accompanied by a plea: Ladies, wear clothes in such a way that no one will look at you with suspicion. Yours, Mast Group.
