Carole Middleton was the epitome of striking summer style in a floral dress and cropped blazer as she returned to Wimbledon for the first time since 2022.
If there's one person we can't imagine not knowing what to wear to Wimbledon, it's Carole Middleton, who has delivered some of the most elegant and sophisticated looks year after year. She's just as much of a tennis fan as her daughter the Princess of Wales and after a two-year absence, Carole finally made her triumphant return to SW19 and let's just say her outfit was worth the wait. Carole stepped out with her husband Michael for day four of Wimbledon 2023 wearing a stunning floral floor-length dress by CerfinnUnfortunately, the Irina bias cut maxi dress £290 is now almost completely sold out and we can understand why.
Carole's dress had a bias cut and a tie neckline, as well as delicate ruching around the cuffs, collar and bodice. The cut is very flattering and feminine, but what really makes it pop is of course the tropical floral print.

The double-breasted design was very classic and the shorter length meant it could also be worn effortlessly with high-waisted skirts or trousers, respecting their waistline. White jackets are Carole Middleton's go-to for an instantly elevated daytime look and although this one was more of an ecru colour, it added to the sophistication of her look.
But Carole's choice of sunglasses and bag contrasted with this very elegant dress and jacket combination. She proved that there's still a place for fun accessories in her signature style by opting for yellow sunglasses and a round raffia handbag. Woven bags couldn't be more on-trend right now and she was also spotted with this one at Wimbledon in 2022.

Meanwhile, the yellow Izipizi Sunglasses added a pop of colour and the Princess of Wales' stylish mum completed her outfit with beige suede Emmy London Heeled pumps. A low, chunky heel is much more comfortable to walk in all day than stilettos and gives Carole more height without being overdressed for the day.
She kept her brunette hair loose and straight and looked to be having a great time on her return to Wimbledon. Carole and Michael are big tennis fans and the Princess of Wales revealed in the 2017 BBC documentary, Sue Barker: Our Wimbledon that watching the championships “was really part of my childhood.”
“It’s a huge part of the English summer, and I think it really inspires young people, it inspired me when I was younger to get involved in the game,” Kate said.
