Two men stabbed, one killed in Fullerton; homicide investigation underway – Orange County Register

Two 20-year-old men were found with significant stab wounds in the 2400 block of West Valencia Avenue in Fullerton on Wednesday, July 3; one of them died from his injuries, the Fullerton Police Department said.

Around 6:13 p.m., officers responded to reports of a fight in progress in the area. When officers arrived, they found the two men lying in the street, according to a department news release. Officers immediately began performing CPR on both men, authorities said. One of the men, who was taken to a regional trauma center, was later pronounced dead, while the second man, who was taken to a local hospital, is expected to survive, authorities said.

The incident appears to be gang-related, based on initial investigations by Fullerton police detectives, the department's news release said. A homicide investigation is ongoing, and the Orange County Coroner's Office is expected to release the identity of the deceased victim at a later date.
