Summer house's Paige DeSorbo defends his controversial choice of wedding attire.

DeSorbo, 31, responded to criticism from commentators during a visit to theLadyGang” podcast on Tuesday, July 23. The reality TV star was criticized after sharing photos from a friend's wedding via Instagram July 2. DeSorbo posed at the wedding venue in St. Tropez wearing a sheer floor-length dress, alongside her boyfriend Craig Conover.

“I was maybe one of 15 girls who wore see-through dresses,” she told the podcast hosts. “I sent it to all my friends who were also going to the wedding and we sent all our dresses in a group chat and not one person batted an eye.”

The dress in question is an all-black Salih Balta gown with a black corset top and sheer skirt. The sleeves effortlessly hang off the shoulder of the bodice, which is wrapped in floral lace and finished with a high slit that nearly hits her hips. She kept the rest of the look simple, with black heels, a clutch, minimal jewelry, and loose, wavy curls.

“The most beautiful wedding I have ever been to,” DeSorbo wrote under her photos at the time.

Some of her fans, however, seemed to disagree, calling the dress “inappropriate” for the occasion and a “dismal failure.” DeSorbo said she “can defend [the outfit] all day.”

DeSorbo explained that the bride and groom are “one of the most elegant couples” [she has] “I've never been there,” adding that the bride “loved” the look.

“I loved that dress. I still wear it and it proved to me once again that few people have attended a wedding in the South of France,” she said. “And for that, I apologize to them.”
