Runway of Dreams Foundation to Unveil Virtual Adaptive Fashion Show on September 14, 2020
NEW YORK, September 2, 2020 / PRNewswire / – The Runway of Dreams Foundation, a non-profit organization working for a future of inclusion, acceptance and opportunity in the fashion industry for people with disabilities, is excited to launch New York Fashion Week with a one-of-a-kind virtual fashion show on Monday, September 14, 2020, starting at 8pm ET via on24.
The Fashion Revolution event marks the first timeAdaptive Tommy Hilfiger,Zappos adaptive, Kohl’s, Target adaptive clothing assortment and Stride Rite’s Journey adaptable sneakers, will grace the same virtual runway, expanding the reach of adaptive clothing in the mainstream industry and celebrating people with disabilities.
Fashion and designer icon Tommy Hilfiger will kick off the festivities and present the virtual show with the founder and CEO of Runway of Dreams Mindy Scheier. Def Leppard drummer Rick allenand his wife and musician Lauren Monroewill perform their new song “Great love,a powerful hymn for this moment in time. 100% of profits from “Big Love” are donated to the rapid intervention fund Project resilience. “Big Love” also showcases the musical talents of Steve ferrone of “Tom petty & The Heartbreakers “and legendary musician Kenny aronoff.
Celebrating inclusion, applauding innovation and highlighting changes in the fashion industry, the Runway of Dreams Foundation Fashion Show will feature over 25 models of all skill levels, including a gold medalist snowboarder Brenna Huckaby, activist Grace Strobel, empowerment speaker Brandon farbstein and author Keah Brown |.
Authors and YouTubers Shane Burcawand Hannah allywardwill serve as the show’s hosts, providing commentary throughout. And, Steve wayHulu’s “Ramy” will also provide a comedy package.
