STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – While COVID-19 strangles Staten Island and the world, Islanders observe “New York on break” and stay home to “flatten the curve”.

It is hoped that quarantines and cancellations will slow the spread of the coronavirus, making it easier for the health care system to care for patients over time.
