The ACMs are here! Nashville honors its best and brightest at the Academy of Country Music Awards, and Wonderwall.com takes the fashion tour to see which country crooners have had fashion success and which have missed the mark. The first one standing? Maren Morris, who falls into the latter category in this hot pink and orange number. The Versace dress wasn’t our favorite of the night, with a tie-dye effect and print across her long-sleeved midi silhouette, but we liked how she paired it with matching neon orange heels. Read on to get a better look at these heels and see the rest of the ACM Awards successes and failures.

While we weren’t crazy about Maren Morris’s dress, we loved her choice of shoes! These neon orange strappy heels were the perfect selection to complete her daring outfit. Next, we’ll take a closer look at her hair and makeup.

We loved that Maren Morris accessorized with more hot pink, check out these ear muffs! but we weren’t crazy about her makeup. She opted for a lilac eye shadow and a natural lip, which looked like an odd appeal in contrast to the neon shades of her dress. Fortunately, his next look at the series was a major improvement.

Maren Morris rocked a killer Versace dress later during the show, this sweet black halter-style midi dress. We loved the green embellishments and the delicate detail of the gold sash, and how they paired perfectly with her lime green heels.
Paper sequins paired with a red and purple leopard print don’t seem like the ingredients for fashion success, but Kelsea Ballerini proved it wrong at the ACM Awards. The singer, who is shortlisted for Female Artist of the Year, wore this insanely cool long sleeve mini dress in bold leopard print and sequins in red with a purple leopard print mini skirt. Complete her look? Matching (and equally cool!) Boots in red leopard print, which we’ll see next
Obsessed! Kelsea Ballerini wore these killer cowboy boots in a matching glitter red leopard print, which also featured a black pointed toe. Then? A better view of her beauty look
When it came time for hair and makeup, Kelsea Ballerini went for an artfully messy updo, a smoky eye in a complimentary shade of red, and a pink lip. She also added glitter hoops to bring even more shimmer to her ensemble.
Taylor Swift posed outside the lobby of artist Grand Ole Opry at her ACM Awards party. We weren’t crazy about her head-to-toe choice, Stella McCartney, a sparkly sequined crimson turtleneck tucked into khaki high waisted pants. She finished off her look with strappy T sandals, stepping up this look like a miss.
It was a Canadian tuxedo for Morgan Wallen! The new male artist of the year wore a denim jacket, denim jeans, a white t-shirt and cowboy boots for a quintessentially country look. While it doesn’t work in a normal red carpet scenario, for a country show this outfit is perfect!
You look sharp, Dan and Shay! Dan + Shay’s duo of the year nominees Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney arrived in style in these sleek black tuxedos, which they rocked with white dress shirts without ties and black boots for a perfectly coordinated outfit. Their song “10,000 Hours” with Justin Bieber is shortlisted for song of the year, video of the year and music event of the year.
Eric Church went for an all black look with black boots and topped it off with a brown suede jacket and the official 2020 accessory a mask. And while we appreciate his commitment to safety, we weren’t crazy about the color scheme the crooner adopted. He was named Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for “Some of It”.
Lauren Alaina looked gorgeous in blue in this glamorous dress on the big night! The beauty rocked this fitted dress with a massive ruffle detail at the neckline and topped it off with an elegant updo.
Even though it wasn’t our favorite look of the night, Miranda Lambert certainly embraced her country roots with this ensemble! The star opted for a blue shirt with lots of fringe, paired with embroidered jeans and a thick, shiny belt for sequins and glamor. Finish things? His silver pumps!
Florida Georgia Line are arguably one of the best dressed duos in country music, so it’s no surprise they arrived in style for the ACM Award events. Brian Kelly wore a vintage striped denim shirt with tan jeans and books, while Tyler Hubbard went for a beige Dolce & Gabbana outfit with a denim patchwork and finished things off with brown boots.
Ready for fall! New Female Artist of the Year, Tenille Townes, chose to embrace the change of seasons and donned this shiny metallic number. We loved her bronze jumpsuit, which featured a taped waist and plunging neckline.
We know country music men like to keep things casual, but we were disappointed with one of our favorites Thomas Rhett outfit. The artist of the year nominee opted for a plaid shirt, jeans and boots for a super simple everyday look.
Lily Aldridge looked gorgeous in this color-blocked Proenza Schouler dress. The model donned this strapless dress, which featured a black bodice and crimson skirt with a thigh-high front slit, and added a chunky black choker and black strappy sandals.
Another well-dressed man? Jimmie Allen, who donned this monochromatic black outfit with lots of silver embellishments. From the fringes and embellishments on her jacket to the lace-up details of her leather pants, this funky ensemble was busy but a perfect example of country cool on the blue carpet.
Another big country star arriving a little too relaxed? Luke Bryan, who donned a plaid shirt, jeans, beige jacket, and a baseball cap with boots for a seriously forgettable blue carpet look.
And now for a country star who dressed for the occasion! Darius Rucker donned a sleek, tight fitting black suit with an unbuttoned white dress shirt underneath for a cool fashion hit.
We weren’t fans of Cam’s funky dress. The singer donned this multicolored dress with wide sleeves and a bizarre, almost circular silhouette. Despite the pretty color scheme, this one missed the mark and finished it off with a pair of silver strappy sandals.
Mickey Guyton was a vision in that sweet white dress. It featured off the shoulder sleeves and a thigh slit and worked perfectly to show off her burgeoning round belly.
A country star who always looks cool? Kane Brown, who donned a shiny leather jacket, black t-shirt, and black jeans for a sharp and simple ensemble.
