LEXINGTON, Ky. The University of Kentucky women’s swimming and diving team started their season dominant Friday afternoon, beating Vanderbilt in a final score of 195-75. In the process, the team collected 11 first places, out of 12 possible, during the double meeting.

“It’s been about eight months since the last competition in the program so it was a great feeling for the teams to kick off the season at home and against a Southeastern Conference opponent,” said the head coach. Lars Jorgensen. “Jeremy (Organ) was kind enough to bring his women’s swim team here to compete on short notice, so we appreciate them.
