Ahead of Nataru’s vacation, Jokowi asks minister to create strategy to prevent rise in Covid-19 cases: National Okezone
JAKARTA – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) reminded his assistants not to let go of management control Covid-19 before the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays which fall in December 2021.
This was transmitted by the Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investment (Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan after attending a virtually limited meeting with President Jokowi on Monday (10/11/2021).
“The president reminded us of his assistants so that things do not get out of hand in the midst of the current situation,” he said.

President Jokowi, Luhut said, wants his staff to be consistent in keeping Covid-19 cases as low as possible and not celebrating or being overly euphoric, leading to a spike in the corona virus.
“Do not be complacent with the conditions today and we are celebrating the euphoria and forgetting the bad conditions that could arise due to our negligence,” he said.

On the other hand, President Jokowi also asked his staff to prepare a strategy to prevent a significant increase in cases during Nataru’s vacation this year. Because, generally, when there is a long vacation, there will be a peak of cases.
