Police try to find offenders
An FIR was filed Tuesday against seven people for burning the effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath, police said.
The action was taken after some videos went viral on social media in which some people were seen burning effigies of the prime minister and the CM, they said.
Taking note of the videos, police filed an FIR against seven people who were filed under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code for violating official orders.
The police are trying to find the offenders. Budaun (Rural) Police Additional Superintendent Praveen Singh Chauhan said the video was of Gidhaul village in the Musajhag area, apparently filmed on October 16.
After learning about it, the FIR was registered at the Musajhag police station. Among the accused was a leader of the Bhartiya Kisan Union.
