New Delhi [India], December 3 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the InFinity Forum, a thought leadership forum on FinTech, Friday at 10 a.m. via video conference.
The event is hosted by the International Financial Services Centers Authority (IFSCA), under the auspices of the Government of India in collaboration with GIFT City and Bloomberg on December 3-4, 2021. Indonesia, South Africa and the UK are partner countries in the first edition of the Forum, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement.
The InFinity Forum will bring together the world’s leading minds in politics, business and technology to discuss and deliver actionable insights into how technology and innovation can be harnessed by the FinTech industry for inclusive growth and in the service of humanity as a whole.
The Forum’s agenda will focus on the theme “Beyond” with various sub-themes including FinTech Beyond Borders, Governments and Businesses focusing beyond geographic borders in the development of a global stack to promote financial inclusion; FinTech beyond finance, by having a convergence with emerging fields such as SpaceTech, GreenTech and AgriTech to promote sustainable development; and FinTech Beyond Next, with a focus on how quantum computing could impact the nature of the FinTech industry going forward and promote new opportunities.
The forum will see the participation of more than 70 countries. Key Forum speakers include Malaysian Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz, Indonesia Finance Minister Mulyani Indrawati, Indonesia Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga S Uno, Chairman and CEO of Reliance Industries Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and CEO of SoftBank Group Corp. Masayoshi Son, Chairman and CEO, IBM Corporation Arvind Krishna, MD and CEO Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited Uday Kotak, among others. NITI Aayog, Invest India, FICCI and NASSCOM are some of the key partners of this year’s Forum.
The International Financial Services Centers Authority (IFSCA), headquartered in GIFT City, Gandhinagar Gujarat, was established under the International Financial Services Centers Act, 2019. It functions as a unified authority for the development and regulation of financial products, financial services and financial institutions of the International Financial Services Center (IFSC) in India.
