ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan became aware of the police action against the MQM-P protesters on Thursday and requested a report from the relevant authorities.

A day earlier, one person was killed, while several MQM-P members, including women, were injured after Karachi police charged at them with truncheons and tear gas during a sit-in. in front of the CM House.

Taking to Twitter, Prime Minister Imran said, I have taken note of the violence used by Sindh Police against MQM’s peaceful protest against Sindh’s LG Act, and requested a report from the Ministry of Interior, Sindh CS and Sindh IG.

The prime minister said he would take the necessary action against those responsible after receiving the investigation reports.

Sindh CM provides survey MQM-P

Earlier today Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah phoned MQM-P leader Syed Aminul Haq and assured him of an investigation into yesterday’s incident.

During the phone conversation, CM Shah said strict action will be taken against those found guilty in the investigation.

Expressing his sorrow over the incident, CM Murad said such incidents should not happen under any circumstances.

Political differences should be resolved through dialogue and political means, the chief minister added.

Both leaders agreed that the incident should not be given an ethnic color. The chief minister said an autopsy of the body of the deceased will reveal the cause of his death.
