Chinese opera singer Liu Keqing, who currently lives in Berlin, uses images from social media to demonstrate his exceptional vocal skills. The singer said he did not “feel” like he was like the Chinese leader and denied trying to use his “similitude” for personal gain.
Chinese opera singer Liu Keqing has been blocked on the country’s social media due to his resemblance to President Xi Jinping, The New York Times reported. His Douyin and TikTok accounts were reportedly blocked several times, although he did provide personal identification.
Quoted by the New York Times, the singer said his TikTok account, with around 300,000 subscribers, was blocked due to his profile picture, in which he wore a red suit and tie, looked like official portraits of Xi. The singer’s efforts to create a new account would have failed, as users continued to send complaints that he was breaking the rules by using someone else’s image.
I don’t understand, said Liu in an interview with Nytimes.com, commenting on his social media account blocks. Maybe the country has security issues.
According to the report, Liu was only able to open a new account after changing his profile photo to a man in a yellow hat – however, comments on many of his videos on Chinese social media are still being blocked.
Earlier in May, Liu allegedly posted an online video in which he claimed that, despite the provision of identification, his account remained blocked due to an “image violation”.
“I have provided my ID again and I am currently awaiting approval. This is the third time that my account has been banned due to an” image violation, “said Keqing in the video, according to Radio Free International.
Liu denied trying to use his resemblance to the Chinese president for personal gain, posting clips on social media showing his vocal technique.
Others say we look alike, but I don’t dare have too many ideas about it, he said. Im just a normal person and a normal artist.
Unconfirmed rumors that Beijing over-protects the image of its president, Xi Jinping, were sparked by an American media report that Chinese officials banned a Winnie the Pooh movie in 2018 on allegations raised by The Hollywood Reporter claims that Chinese authorities were offended by popular memes comparing Xi to the well-known cartoon representation of the classic fictional teddy bear.

Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily.
