Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday after taking part in two days of fruitful discussions on sustainable solutions to global challenges at the G7 summit in Germany. Prime Minister Modi will personally offer his condolences on the death of former UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in the Gulf country. Nahyan died on May 13 after a long illness. He was 73 years old, he had been in power since 2004.
When Prime Minister Modi arrived in the United Arab Emirates, he was warmly welcomed there. Prime Minister Modi was received by the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. As soon as he reached the airport, he hugged PM Modi like how many old friends he had. PM Modi’s global stature is so great that all world leaders become his admirers.
It is to be noted that after the alleged anti-Islamic declaration of Nupur Sharma, Islamic countries had expressed their displeasure against India. Indian ambassadors have been summoned by the Gulf countries. Then it was believed that India’s relations with these countries deteriorated. But this PM Modi meeting shows improved relations in many ways.
Ahead of that, PM Modi comes after a 2-day visit to Germany. During it, he held fruitful talks on permanent solutions to global challenges. Prime Minister Modi has arrived in Abu Dhabi for a short period, where he will stay for a while. After that, it will reach New Delhi.
Significantly, Prime Minister Modi tweeted about the G7 conference. He wrote this when leaving Germany after a successful trip. During this visit, I attended the G7 Summit, had talks with many world leaders, and attended a memorable community event in Munich. We discussed a series of issues focused on promoting global well-being and prosperity.
Along with this, the Prime Minister also wrote: “I thank the German people, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the German government for their hospitality during this visit. I am sure that the Indo-German friendship will reach new heights in times to come.
