While answering questions from students during the event held at Talkatora Stadium, Prime Minister Modi explained how “criticism is an integral part of democracy”. The Prime Minister was responding to a student who asked him how he dealt with challenges and criticism.
The Prime Minister replied that criticism is important for democracy and helps to improve it. I believe that criticism is an absolute condition and a Shuddhi Yagna for a harmonious democracy and I believe in the principle that criticism is important for a successful democracy.
Who criticizes and with what intention is important. There is a difference between allegation and criticism, the latter is valuable, the former is a vendetta, the Prime Minister added.
Prime Minister Modi further replied that it is very important to know the source of criticism. There is a very thin line between criticism and obstruction. Parents should criticize constructively and positively. However, people who are used to criticizing don’t care much about what they say.

Responding to a student who asked how to avoid social media distractions, Prime Minister Modi said: “First of all, it is important to decide whether you are smart or the Gadget. You should know that gadgets are not smarter than you. This is a matter of great concern in the country. We must not become slaves to gadgets or technology. »
PM Modi then discussed the importance of time management referring to mothers and their time management skills. He told the students that they should learn time management techniques from their mothers. “Have you ever observed your mother’s time management skills?” A mother never feels overwhelmed by the immense work she does. If you observe your mother, you will understand how to manage your time well, ”said the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister also advised students on how to deal with stress. He said they usually face pressure during exam season but need to focus on hard work. At this juncture, Prime Minister Modi also offered critical advice to parents who often pressure their children due to societal demands. He said “expectations of family members are obvious, but to manage social status, pressuring children is not fair.”
Prime Minister Modi, addressing the candidates, said we should be proud of our country because we have the oldest language in the world. “Be outgoing as well as focused. India is a country full of diversity and we should be proud of that. Every language is a window into thousands of years of experience and wisdom.
While answering the question ‘how do you learn different languages and why is it important?’ Prime Minister Modi said we should be proud of our heritage and our legacy.
He encouraged the students by advising them to work smart. Some people just work hard, some work smart, some do nothing. Students who have put in a lot of effort in the exams: I assure you that your efforts will never be in vain. You have heard the story of the thirsty crow. How did he drink water? What should we call it – hard work or smart work?
A Gurugram student asked PM Modi how despite being an average student he could focus on his studies. PM Modi motivated the student by replying, Congratulations, for knowing that you are average. Many below average students think they have more caliber. It is important to know yourself and make a correct self-assessment. Most people are average, but some average people do amazing work with their efforts.
He added: How should average students focus on their studies? Identify your abilities and have confidence in them. These students outdo themselves.
Notably, after concluding his “Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023” session, PM Modi also interacted with specially disabled students at Talkatora Stadium.
Before the start of the sixth edition of “Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023”, PM Modi interacted with some students during an exhibition.
