Amran Sulaiman asked Perum Bulog to immediately absorb the national corn and grain production which is currently entering into a major harvest. This is also in line with President Jokowi's message regarding the national absorption of grains and corn.
According to Amran Sulaiman, if absorption is not achieved, it is feared that the price of corn and cereals at the farmer level will fall further. Absorption is also important to reduce imports of rice and corn.
In addition to absorbing, said the Minister of Agriculture, Bulog must also purchase at a reasonable price, that is, profitable. Don't let farmers lose because the harvest is cheaper than production costs. This is why the Minister of Agriculture hopes that farmers will continue to be helped so that in the future they can produce.
