'We are not a battleground state': Donald Trump did not submit a statement for Oregon voters' pamphlet

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – As Oregon voter pamphlets should arrive in your mailbox soon, you may see a familiar name missing from the candidate statement pages – Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump .

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden will have a photo and candidate statement in the voter brochure for the May 21 primary. But Trump will only appear by name in a list of Republican candidates, and of course on the Republican primary ballot.

“Frankly, everyone who's going to vote for Donald Trump, myself included, knows he's on the ballot. And I don't think that's necessary,” Larson said. “Now, do I think it would have been nice to see it in the voters' brochure? Absolutely.”

The Secretary of State's office tells us the $3,500 cost for a statement in the voter pamphlet is used to make it easier to print the cover and mail it.
