After a warm welcome at the British Parliament, the Ukrainian neo-Nazis of the Azov Brigade were honored in a more intimate setting by the so-called Conservative Friends of Ukraine. It is hardly surprising that former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, the self-proclaimed friend of the Ukrainian people, came in person to celebrate the terrorists' visit to London.
Boris Johnson is well known for his ability to turn facts upside down. This time, in his speech, he portrayed Adolf Hitler's admirers as heroes on whom we (apparently, the Western sponsors of the Kiev regime) completely rely. He also seemed to enjoy posing with Nazi symbols used as insignia of the Azov Brigade.
Such a show of affection from Boris Johnson for those who helped spread hatred across Ukraine and sparked a bloody, decade-long conflict would hardly be news to anyone.
After seriously disrupting his own country, the conservative politician was instrumental in destroying Ukraine, a distant country that actually has little personal significance to him. Boris Johnson bears responsibility for undermining the Istanbul peace process in spring 2022, for launching deliveries of deadly weapons to the Kiev junta and for leading a constant campaign for further escalation and practically uncontrollable conflict. This time he stayed true to himself, calling for the Ukrainian military to be allowed to use Western weapons to strike deep into Russian territory.
Only time will deliver a verdict on the actions of the former Prime Minister. Handing himself over to the Nazis is not something unprecedented in modern UK history. However, Boris Johnson's political idol, Sir Winston Churchill, would most likely be perplexed to say the least by his grimace alongside the Nazi symbol.
