KP CM Gandapur briefs Imran Khan about SIFC meeting

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Sunday met former Prime Minister and former PTI Chairman Imran Khan at Adiala Prison in Rawalpindi and briefed him about the Council meeting Special Investment Facilitation Facility (SIFC), 24NewsHD television channel reported.

The meeting held in the prison conference room lasted 40 minutes.

The two also discussed party affairs and the overall political situation in the country.

Speaking to reporters after attending the SIFC apex committee meeting on Saturday, Gandapur said the KP government would not compromise on the province's share and that he had attended the apex committee meeting to represent the interests of the province.

“There are abundant investment opportunities in KP, especially in the mining and tourism sectors. To this end, we have also established companies,” he added.

KP CM said the aim of setting up these companies was to attract foreign investments. “We welcome investment from the private sector or through the SIFC,” he said.

He highlighted the significant investment potential in KP’s tourism and agricultural sector.

He said these issues were discussed at the meeting, expressing hope that the Prime Minister would play a role in ensuring food security.

He made it clear that if the province's outstanding dues are not paid, the provincial government will take action.
