President Joko Widodo officially did not hold the 2024 Jakarta Fair
Jakarta, MINA – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) officially opened the Jakarta Fair 2024 at Pekan Raya Jakarta, Kemayoran, Jakarta, Wednesday (12/6) evening.
“The Jakarta Fair is a highly anticipated event by the people of Jakarta, the people of Jakarta as well as the people of Jabodetabek, as well as Indonesia,” said President Jokowi.

In his speech, Acting Governor Heru Budi Hartono said: Jakarta Fair Kemayoran has a long history deeply rooted in Jakarta culture.
From a small exhibition in the Monas area, the Jakarta Fair has transformed into a modern exhibition in Kemayoran, as well as a stage for various premium Indonesian products.
“In 2023, the Jakarta Kemayoran Fair will bring together 2,500 exhibitors consisting of micro, small and medium enterprises as well as private companies. “Within 32 days of its implementation, it generated economic transactions worth IDR 7.3 trillion, with a total of 6 million visitors,” he explained.
He explained that this year's Kemayoran Jakarta Fair was themed “Jakarta Fair supports national economic growth in Indonesia and is able to compete in the global market.”
In line with this theme, Acting Governor Heru highlighted Jakarta's role as a catalyst for Indonesia's economy and supporting the transformation into a global city.
“According to the Global City Index 2023 report published by Kearney, Jakarta is ranked 74th out of 156 cities in the world. “This is an encouragement for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to continue striving to maximize the city's potential so that it is on par with other developed cities in the world,” he said.
Last year's Jakarta Fair managed to attract more than 6 million visitors, an impressive figure and proof of the importance of this event in the Jakarta city calendar.
Karuna Murdaya, chairwoman of the Jakarta Kemayoran Fair 2024 organizing committee, said that the Jakarta Fair 2024 had 2,550 stalls and 1,550 tenants. It targets sales at the 2024 Jakarta Fair to reach IDR 7.5 trillion.
The sales target is around IDR 7.5 trillion and the visitor target is similar to last year, but a little shorter, he said.
Murdaya also noted growing interest in several segments such as electric cars and cosmetics.
