President Jokowi Appreciates Central and Regional TPI's Hard Work in Controlling Inflation

MERAHPUTIH I JAKARTA – President Joko Widodo officially opened the 2024 National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) for Inflation Control held at the State Palace, Jakarta, Friday, June 14, 2024. In his speech, the head of the state appreciated the hard work of the inflation control committee. (TPI) both at the central level and in the regions in controlling inflation so that it reaches 2.84% in May 2024.
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Central Inflation Control Team and the Regional Inflation Control Team who have worked hard and strived to control inflation so that in May last year, our inflation was at 2.84 percent. “It's one of the best in the world,” the president said.
However, the President reminded regional governments to remain vigilant and cautious in directly monitoring economic growth on the ground. Indeed, the impact of economic growth and inflation is directly felt by the population.

- TPID of the best performing regency/city in the Java-Bali region, Madiun City;
- TPID Best Performing Regency/City in Kalimantan Region, Banjarmasin City;
- TPID Best Performing Regency/City in Sulawesi Region, Bone Regency;
