Erdogan says Biden faces test of sincerity in handling Gaza war

Trkiyes President Tayyip Erdogan said on June 15 that US President Joe Biden was undergoing a test of sincerity in his handling of the Gaza war.
In an interview with reporters after returning from the G7 summit in Italy, Mr. Erdogan said Mr. Biden should demonstrate that the Gaza ceasefire plan is not a calculated electoral tactic but a sincere effort to end the war.
He also said that Germany had softened its position on sales of Eurofightesr aircraft to Trkiye. In November, Trkiye said his country was in talks with Britain and Spain to buy Eurofighter Typhoons, although Germany opposed the idea. The Eurofighters are important to us, he added.
Mr. Erdogan also said that inflation would be put in a more favorable position in the last quarter thanks to the measures that will be taken on interest rates.
“Policies aimed at rebalancing the economy are bearing fruit,” Erdogan said.
