President Jokowi returns home to Solo ahead of Eid al-Adha 2024 celebrations
tirto.id – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) returned to Solo, Central Java ahead of the Iduladha 1445 Hijriah celebrations. President Jokowi arrived in Solo on Friday (14/6/2024).
President Jokowi invited his two grandchildren, namely Jan Ethes Srinarendra and La Lembah Manah, for a trip to Solo Paragon Mall, today Saturday (15/6/2024).
They then bought several children's toys. While dropping off his two grandchildren, who are the sons of Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka, President Jokowi also appeared friendly as he accepted selfie invitations from mall visitors.
Previously, President Joko Widodo's return to Solo was announced by Surakarta Deputy Mayor Teguh Prakosa. “On Friday afternoon, the president arrived in Solo. I don't know exactly, but there was a family event there,” he said.
Meanwhile, according to the schedule, President Jokowi will hold Eid prayers at the Grand Mosque of Central Java (MAJT) Semarang.
Chairman of PP MAJT KH Noor Achmad said that the president's planned arrival at MAJT was enthusiastically welcomed by the congregation and the community in Central Java. He said the president's arrival would be a source of pride for Muslims in Central Java.
“His presence at MAJT has long been awaited by the people of Central Java, especially by the MAJT congregation. Thank God, this will soon come true during the Eid al-Adha prayers,” he said.
After the identity prayer, the Head of State will hand over to the committee the sacrificial animal in the form of a male Limousin cow weighing 1.23 tonnes.
