Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijriah, President Jokowi donates 2 cows to the people of Lingga
TANJUNG PINANG (HAKA) – On Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijriah in 2024, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) offered sacrificial cows to the people of the Riau Islands.
Head of the People's Welfare Office (Karo) of the Riau Islands Regional Secretariat, Aiyub, said the sacrificial cow donated by President Jokowi would be handed over to the people of Dabo, Lingga Regency.
“Later, the cow will be handed over to Al-Zulfa Mosque, Dabo, Lingga Regency,” he told harikepri.com, Friday (14/6/2024).
He further said that there were two cows that would be donated to the Dabo community on the occasion of Eid al-Adha 1445 AH. The cattle were sourced from local breeders in Lingga regency.
“Each one weighs 400 kilos,” he explained.
Currently, the cow donated by President Jokowi is in Dabo, Lingga Regency. Later, the Governor of the Riau Islands, Ansar Ahmad, will hand over the cow donated by the Head of State to the people of Dabo, Lingga Regency.
“Now we are waiting for instructions from the governor, whether he will give way or be represented. “But what is clear is that the cow is now in Dabo,” he concluded.RIGHT)
