1. Jokowi signed the presidential decree on June 14
The Online Gambling Eradication Task Force was officially formed by Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 21 of 2024. This Presidential Decree came into force on the date it was stipulated.

“To support efforts to accelerate the eradication of online gambling in an integrated manner, a Task Force on the Eradication of Online Gambling has been formed, which in this Executive Order will be referred to as the Task Force,” reads- on in article 1 of presidential decree 21/2024 seen by detikcom, Saturday (15/6/2024).
2. Tasks
This task force was formed to eradicate online gambling which is increasingly disturbing the public. Three points are defined as tasks of the working group.
In Article 4 of this Presidential Decree of the Task Force, the general tasks of the Task Force are worded as follows:
A. Optimize the prevention and enforcement of online gaming laws effectively and efficiently;
b. Increase coordination between ministries/agencies and foreign cooperation in efforts to prevent and enforce online gaming laws; And
vs. Align and determine the implementation of strategic policies and make recommendations to optimize prevention and enforcement of online gaming laws.
