No talks with money order thieves, says lawyer Gohar

BUNER: PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar on Sunday said party founder Imran Khan is ready to engage in negotiations but refuses to hold talks with politicians he calls mandate stealers , ARY News reported.

In a statement, lawyer Gohar claimed that the government had filed over 200 false cases against the PTI chairman, who has been in jail for 11 months without any conviction.

The PTI chairman expressed concerns over the current political situation in the country, calling it “dangerous” for the nation, its people and the economy.

He criticized the government for its management of the economy and its failure to resolve the problems facing citizens. He also expressed disappointment with the government's 100-day performance, calling it “extremely poor.”

Gohar Ali Khan also criticized the recent budget, saying it imposed taxes on essential commodities like flour and ghee, which is “beyond comprehension”.

He expressed hope that the JUI led by Maulana Fazlur Rehman would join the opposition alliance against the “anti-people” policies of the government.

Gohar stressed that the opposition had a two-point program: the independence of the judiciary and the electoral commission.

Earlier, it was reported that PTI founder Imran Khan had accepted the Supreme Court (SC) notice and was ready to conditionally initiate talks with all political parties, including the PML-N and the PPP.

Insiders told ARY News that PTI was willing to engage in serious and meaningful dialogue with authorized representatives of political parties.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan had advised PTI founder Imran Khan to start a dialogue with politicians, while Imran Khan was speaking in court regarding accountability laws.

Two days later, PTI founder Imran Khan said there was no point in negotiating with a government that lacked authority.
