Atambua Al-Mujahidin Mosque receives 945 kg sacrificial cow from the President of the Republic of Indonesia
KATANTT.COM —The management of Al-Mujahidin Atambua Grand Mosque, Belu Regency, received a sacrificial cow weighing 945 kilos from the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo on the occasion of Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijriah.
The handover of the sacrificial animals was represented on Monday by the expert staff of NTT Acting Governor Ahmad Atang directly to MUI President Haji Abdullah Beladjam in the courtyard of Al-Mujahidin Mosque in the RI-RDTL border area. (6/17/2024).
NTT Acting Governor Ayodhia GL Kalake, represented by Ahmad Atang, said the President's cow assistance was a form of commitment by the state to be present at every religious moment, especially in NTT.
“This aid to the cows comes from the president as a representation of the state which fulfills the function of increasing cooperation and state involvement in socio-religious activities,” he said.
Ahmad also stressed that this aid has deep social significance. Because it aims to provide attention to disadvantaged residents who may not have received appropriate attention.
“We hope that this aid can create social solidarity between people, both those who have wealth and those who are less fortunate,” he said.
Furthermore, he also expressed his hope that the joy of Eid al-Adha in 2024 can continue to strengthen the commitment to brotherhood and unity, and strengthen all of us as brothers in building from NTT.
On this occasion, Assistant for Economic and Development Administration of the Belu Regional Secretariat Marsianus Loe Mau expressed his gratitude to President Jokowi for his attention and assistance to the people of Belu Regency.
