MANDI BAHAUDDIN (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain on Tuesday claimed that PTI founder Imran Khan has been enjoying the favors of several legal figures for a long time.

Interacting with a group of journalists here, the minister said failure to bring to justice those accused of destabilizing state institutions and causing political instability was a question mark on their effectiveness (of those institutions).

He expressed the belief that if there had been proper accountability, personalities like Mujeebur Rehman and Altaf Hussain would not have gotten the favor of justice.

Hussain stressed the importance of taking firm action against those who undermine state institutions.

The minister acknowledged the integrity of the judiciary, but expressed concerns over the perceived bias towards former Prime Minister Imran Khan in recent court decisions.

On Maulana Fazlur Rehman's support for the PTI, the minister said it was “unnatural”, given Maulana's traditional electoral base in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the PTI-ruled province.

The minister hailed the PML-N government's performance in 100 days as historic, expressing optimism over the country's development in the years to come.
