Former President Donald Trump told reporters Saturday that he has chosen his running mate for the 2024 presidential election.

Jake Traylor of NBC News reported on X, formerly Twitter, that Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, has not yet informed his vice presidential pick of their selection.

Trump said he decided, “in my mind, yes.” He added to reporters that “no one knows” his choice.

NBC also reported that Trump said his running mate would “most likely” attend Thursday's debate with Democratic President Joe Biden in Atlanta.

“They will be there,” he told reporters. “I think we have a lot of people coming.”

Trump told Scripps News last month that there was a “good chance” he would announce his running mate at the Republican National Convention, which will be held July 15-18 in Milwaukee.
