Omar Ayub insists on release of Imran Khan for talks with PML-N

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Omar Ayub, addressing a session of the National Assembly, said that dialogue with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) can only take place once that Imran Khan and other detained party members will be released.

The opposition leader made the remarks on Wednesday during a speech in response to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif's speech in parliament.

The National Assembly Speaker intervened when Omar Ayub made the remarks, asking him to maintain decorum, but the opposition leader went on to emphasize his right to respond.

Ayub recounted the participation of PTI members at Kulsoom Nawaz's funeral but highlighted his inability to attend his father's funeral.

He called for recognition of the mistreatment of PTI members Yasmin Rashid, Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed and Hassan Niazi.
