Labor reportedly plans to change the law to make it easier to ban Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
David Lammy Labors, shadow foreign secretary, and Yvette Cooper, shadow home secretary, both support blacklisting the IRGC.
According to Today's telegraphthey plan to put in place a tailor-made interdiction mechanism to make it easier for state actors to be officially declared as terrorist groups.
They also plan to update the UK government's counter-terrorism strategy, called Contest, and create a new joint Home Office and Foreign Office unit to deal with state threats to the UK.
Earlier this month, the Labor Party's manifesto portrayed the IRGC as a hostile group, but did not make an explicit call for the group to be banned.
