JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – President Joko Widodo visited Palangkaraya Shopping Center in Palangkaraya City, Central Kalimantan Province, Wednesday evening (26/6/2024).
A number of officials also accompanied the president during his visit.
They are Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman, National Food Agency head Arief Prasetyo Adi and Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran.
Arriving at the mall around 7:40 p.m. WIB, the arrival of the head of state was greeted loudly by visitors who had already filled the hall of the mall.
President Jokowi He immediately greeted people and responded to their photo requests one by one.

A student named Moïse, who had the opportunity to take a photo with President Jokowi, cried because he was relieved to finally be able to meet the head of state.
Moïse revealed that before his late father's death, he expressed his desire to meet President Jokowi.
“It's a matter of pride for me, for my father. It's for my late father. Thank you sir, always in good health, Pak Jokowi,” Moses said as reported in a press release from the Presidential Secretariat.
Two ojol drivers, namely Saputra and Risdo, were also happy and did not expect to be able to meet and take photos with the head of state.
Both were also impressed by President Jokowi's friendly personality.
“It's very easy to meet in person, I never would have imagined. I was about to stop, so there were a lot of people here, it's true, I stopped. Oh, suddenly Jokowi’s entourage wants to come here. I didn’t expect it at all,” Saputra said.
“This is the first time I meet Pak Jokowi in person, I am happy because I am a fan of Pak Jokowi,” Risdo said.

In addition to greeting residents, President Jokowi also had dinner with several ministers at one of the mall's restaurants.
The president also appeared to enjoy iced tea and blended ice cream before the food order arrived.
Previously, President Jokowi had been in Central Kalimantan since Wednesday morning for a working visit.
