Targeted by investors, land prices around Jokowi's retirement home have soared

The existence of President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) Retirement Home to be built in Blulukan Village, Colomadu, Karanganyar, has made the area a target for investors. Land prices have now increased by up to 50 percent.
“Yes, automatically in the future it will be like this (prices will increase). Now we are asking for more than yesterday,” said Blulukan (Kades) village head Slamet Wiyono when contacted . detikJatengWednesday (6/26/2024).
He previously said that the market price of land was IDR 10-12 million per meter. Now, residents are offering their land at higher prices.

“Yes, yesterday it was around IDR 10 to 12 million per meter, now it is IDR 15 to 17 million per meter,” he explained.
He admitted that the existence of President Kowi's Nursing Home had indirectly had a positive impact on Blulukan Village. Slamet said Blulukan village is now one of the places targeted by investors.
“Yes, it is indirectly like that (the Jokowi effect) and our region is targeted by investors. And the land already belongs to all the Blulukan, along the road it no longer belongs to the farmers,” a- he explained.
However, Slamet said, new investors are only asking about prices at that location.
“Yes, there were just a few questions regarding the price, so let's just pass on a request like that,” he concluded.
Jokowi Nursing Home begins construction
Activities to build a house as a state gift to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in Colomadu, Karanganyar have begun to appear. The location of the house is known to be on Jalan Adi Sucipto, Blulukan Village, Colomadu.
Head of Blulukan Village, Slamet Wiyono, said that since Monday (24/6), there have been worker activities in the construction area.
“What we saw, starting last Monday, there were activities to fence the perimeter in the area where Pak Jokowi's house will be built,” Slamet said when contacted. detikJatengTuesday (6/25).
On site, heavy equipment activity was visible. Several workers were also seen carrying out activities on the one-hectare plot of land.
Even so, Slamet admitted he doesn't know what the next progress will look like. Slamet said construction is expected to be completed next year.
“We don't know what the next progress will be, because we don't know what information will come from CV who will build the house. We don't know what the site plan will look like. We still don't know what it will look like. It will still completed in 2025, this year it will perhaps still be a framework,” he concluded.
For information, President Jokowi will receive a house as a gift from the state in Colomadu, Karanganyar. This house award was given after Jokowi finished his term as president in 2024.
