President Joko Widodo inspects rice stocks, distributes food aid
BUNTOK- Thousands of people from South Barito (Barsel) Regency welcomed the arrival of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. Joko Widodo visited the Bulog office in the region to examine rice stocks and distribute food aid to the community.
On this occasion, President Joko Widodo, after reviewing the rice stocks, directly asked the people present if they had received regular food aid from January, February, March, April, May. The community responded “yes, you can” simultaneously.

Hearing this, the community's roar grew even louder when it was announced that the food aid would continue from August to December.
On this occasion, the President also declared that, thanks to APBN funds, 10 kilograms of food per month for 22 million people are distributed by the National Bulog with a stock reaching 1.7 million tonnes. For South Sulawesi Bulog itself, it has 1,500 tons.
He went on to explain that all over the world, food prices, rice and wheat have all increased because of drought and heat waves. This is happening all over the world, not just in Indonesia.
It is for this reason that his party increases production so that it increases, and the more food increases, the more the price will fall. However, farmers will certainly complain about why prices have fallen.
Therefore, as a government it is not easy, you have to maintain a balance to keep buyers and farmers happy.
Then, before continuing with the agenda, the President asked two people to recite Pancasila. Finally, Ms. Irene Kayusni and Mr. Hotman Siregar received bicycles from President Joko Widodo.
