Following hack, Jokowi asks BPKP to audit PDN governance and finances
Bisnis.comJAKARTA – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asked the Finance and Development Control Agency (BPKP) TO DO Auditgovernance and finance National Data Center (PDN).
Head of the Financial Monitoring and Development Agency (BPKP), Muhammad Yusuf Ateh, said the head of state requested a deeper understanding of the governance and financial problems of the PDN after falling victim to a hack on June 20, 2024.
He made this statement after attending an internal meeting with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) regarding the discussion of cyber attacks on the National Data Center (PDN) server at the Presidential Palace on Friday (28/6/2024).
“Later we will audit, we were told earlier [Presiden] audit the governance and finances of the PDN,” he told reporters present at the presidential palace complex.
In addition, Ateh agreed that there was a need to conduct audit steps to determine potential governance errors and the impact of PDN data leaks.
Moreover, Ateh said, until now, the PDN has never been audited. The institution received a new audit request following a hacking case against PDN.
“I don't know the impact, GOOD not yet audited. If we have not been audited, we will not talk about it yet. We also do not know [jumlah lembaga yang akan diaudit]”We just had a meeting,” he said.
Then, Ateh also did not explain further when the head of state expected the audit to be completed.
