Jokowi may inherit a state house
Jakarta –
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will receive a house donated by the state at the end of his term. The house can then be occupied directly and even inherited by the heirs.
“The house can be occupied immediately and becomes property, it can be passed on to one's heirs,” Secretary of the Ministry of State Secretariat, Setya Utama told reporters on Thursday (27/6/2024).
Jokowi Nursing Home is located on Jalan Adi Sucipto, Blulukan Village, Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java. The location is indeed different from other former Indonesian presidents who chose houses in Jakarta. Apparently, Jokowi directly chose the location of the house.

“The president himself asked and chose the location of his residence. The idea is that he and his family will know about it of course,” Setya said.
The area of land that will be used for the construction of retirement homes has increased from the previous 3,000 square meters (m2) to approximately 12,000 m2. In this regard, Setya said, this remains within the budget ceiling.
“The area of the land is in line with the determined budget ceiling,” he said.
Regarding the budget amount, it was regulated in the Regulation of the Ministry of Finance number 120/PMK.06/2022 regarding the provision, feasibility standards and calculation of the value of housing for former presidents and/or former vice -presidents of the Republic of Indonesia. In Article 3 of the Regulation, the land held for the residence of the former President and the former Vice President is a maximum of 1,500 m2 for those located in Jakarta or if it is outside Jakarta, it is at most equivalent to the value of 1,500 m2. field in Jakarta.
Then in article 4 it is specified that the building of residence of the former president and the former vice-president is:
– there is space that can support the activities of the former president or vice-president and their families
– a spatial design that can provide comfort to residents
– the specifications of the construction materials must meet the technical requirements relating to the strength of the building, comfort requirements and occupants.
– standard equipment according to the needs and comfort of residents.
For the record, the buildings intended for the residences of former presidents and former vice-presidents were filled taking into account the financial capacities of the country.
