PAN refuses that Jokowi provided Kaesang's name to many parties

The National Mandate Party (PAN) confirmed that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) never offered it the opportunity to nominate Kaesang Pangarep in the Jakarta Governor (Pilgub) elections. PAN believes that President Jokowi has made no effort to play girls within the Democratic Party.

“If Pak Jokowi was a girl, I didn't hear that. Pak Jokowi didn't propose to go anywhere, no,” said PAN Deputy Chairman General (Waketum) Yandri Susanto, at the presidential palace complex, Friday (28/6).

However, Yandri believes that if Kaesang wants to move forward, it is normal. President Jokowi's youngest child is considered to have potential.

“Yes, if Mas Kaesang wants to move forward, it's natural. He is a citizen, the general leader of the party, he has potential, there is no problem,” he said.

Yandri admitted that PAN had indeed asked Kaesang to come forward. This was also revealed by PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan.

“Yes, if it's PAN, PAN will ask,” he explained.

Previously, Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) Aboe Bakar Al Habsyi said that President Jokowi had proposed the name of Kaesang Pangarep for the 2024 Jakarta elections. This has been done to a number of political parties.

“That's all, (President Jokowi) proposed (Kaesang's name),” Aboe said at Sahid Hotel, Central Jakarta, Thursday (27/6).

Aboe did not deny or confirm that PKS was also offered. He only said that the offer was made to more than one party. (Z-1)
