Islamabad [Pakistan]June 30 (ANI): An internal rift has emerged within Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party as its internal report has blamed party chief Sher Afzal Marwat for the brawl between opposition leader Omar Ayub and other party members, Pakistan. Geo News reported, citing The News. The report – which will be presented to the PTI founder on July 2 – holds Marwat responsible for the brawl with Omar. The brawl reportedly took place outside the Islamabad court complex on Thursday when a district and sessions court rejected the pleas of PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Imran seeking suspension of their sentences in the 'Iddat' case. Marwat had wanted to lead the party's protest rally with Khan's support, however, it led to an unpleasant situation, forcing Omar to leave the venue in disbelief. Marwat has remained in the spotlight in recent months due to his blunt remarks and differences with party workers. He was removed from the PTI core committee and political committee and issued a show-cause notice due to his outspoken comments, Geo News reported.

Ahead of the February 3 general elections, an Islamabad court sentenced the couple to seven years in prison and a fine of PKR 500,000 each for marrying during Bushra Bibi's Iddat period. The couple was sentenced to 14 years in prison in Toshakhana case, while Imran and his foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi were sentenced to 10 years in prison in the Cypher case the same week the verdict was delivered (ANI).
