Jokowi summons ministers to meeting, discusses transfer of ASN to IKN
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) held a limited meeting regarding the transfer of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) to the Archipelago Capital (IKN) in East Kalimantan.
“The plan is to transfer the ASN to the IKN,” said Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Azwar Anas when asked by reporters at the Presidential Palace Complex on Monday (1/7/2024).
Azwar Anas said that in the meeting he would provide a detailed report on incentives for ASN working at IKN, as well as several other scenarios.
Meanwhile, Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Physical Planning/Head of the National Land Agency, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), revealed that his part of the meeting would be to listen to the MenPAN-RB presentation and provide a response.
“It seems that these are plans or preparations to transfer the ASN to the IKN. So this is what I know, later we will hear in detail the main discussion points. MenPAN-RB the will explain to the President and we will listen and respond,” AHY said.
Regarding the number of ASNs who left his ministry, AHY replied that he was still conducting studies.
Monitored by CNBC Indonesia, the meeting was also attended by Minister of National Development Planning (PPN)/Head of the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) Suharso Monoarfa, and Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati.
