Jokowi Gives Pieces of Tumpeng to National Police Chief on Bhayangkara's First Anniversary

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) cutting the tumeng on the 78th anniversary of the National Police. Jokowi gave the first piece of tumpeng to Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
At the culminating event of the 78th anniversary of the National Police, Monday (1/7/2024), in Monas, Jakarta, the giant tumpeng brought to the culminating event of the 78th Bhayangkara Day was named Tumpeng Bhayangkara. Tumpeng symbolizes the 38 provinces of Indonesia.
The presenter explained that tumpeng is a manifestation of the cultural diversity, wealth and traditions of Sabang in Merauke. The tumpeng was performed with an accompaniment of 38 dancers from all provinces of Indonesia.

President Jokowi came down from the stage accompanied by First Lady Iriana Jokowi and General Listyo Sigit, Chief of the National Police. Jokowi then cut the tumpeng and handed it over to the National Police Chief.
Previously, President Joko Widodo appreciated the performance of the National Police on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the National Police. President Jokowi spoke about improving the image of the national police in society.
Jokowi initially said the national police were present in all regions of Indonesia. The actions of the National Police have become a concern in society.
“The National Police has a central role in society, always in contact with people's daily lives.
