The foundation stone for the construction of a house donated by the state to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in Colomadu, Karanganyar, was laid. The procession took place behind closed doors on Monday (1/7) morning.
It is known that Jokowi's house after his retirement as president was built on a 12,000 square meter plot of land in Jalan Adi Sucipto, Blulukan, Colomadu. The news of the laying of the foundation stone was confirmed by the head of Colomadu district, Dwi Susilo Adi. Even so, Dwi admitted that he was not present at the event.
“No one was informed, it's true (about the laying of the foundation stone), so when I asked the children to watch the area, it turned out that there was a laying activity the foundation stone, but it was a private event,” Dwi said when contacted detikJatengMonday (1/7/2024).

Dwi said the process of laying the foundation stone for Jokowi's house was carried out around 09.00 WIB. According to the news received, he continued, those who came to the event were representatives of the Jokowi family.
“Apparently, the families present, at 09:00 WIB, had already dispersed. There is no confirmation, (the sub-district head and the village) no one was invited,” he said.
He said, the contractor from Denpasar, Bali, namely PT Tunas Jaya Sanur. He said that currently, security in the territory was beginning to be strengthened.
“This started to be reinforced with the surveillance of the Paspampres. Because now you are no longer allowed to use drones to take pictures,” he explained.
As previously reported, the construction of the state gifted house to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Jalan Adi Sucipto, Blulukan, Colomadu, Karanganyar started a week ago. The work begins with the fencing of the land.
Jokowi's retirement home is located on Jalan Adi Sucipto, Blulukan Village, Colomadu, Karanganyar. This house award will be given after Jokowi completes his term as president in 2024. The donation of houses to former presidents and vice presidents is regulated by Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 52 of 2014 concerning Public Procurement and House Standards for Former Presidents and/or Former Vice Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia.
